Ricky Sapp is one of the biggest verbal commitments Clemson has on board for the 2006 recruiting class. Sapp was on hand for the Clemson victory over Texas A&M this past weekend.
"It was a great game. Death Valley was awesome. When the team was at the top of the Hill, you could not hear yourself think. I am ready to go to Clemson right now. I am focused on my season, but I am really excited about my commitment to Clemson." Sapp says he may visit other games, but he will be at almost every Clemson home game. "I may go check out South Carolina-Georgia this weekend. I want to see some good games, and my old teammate plays for South Carolina (Matt Raysor). You can count on seeing me at Death Valley again. I will be there for the Miami game. I know we have some other big recruits coming in that weekend. I will begin recruiting them that weekend. I should have started recruiting players earlier, but I will get phone numbers at the Miami game." Sapp was seen with a huge smile on his face following the game. He signed several autographs before leaving the field. His conversation only confirmed what the smile on his face said Saturday, he is a Clemson Tiger.
