Tiger Source confirmed Sunday evening that Spartanburg athlete Nick Prochak had given his verbal commitment to South Carolina. Prochak was offered by Clemson, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Duke. Clemson and South Carolina came with offers shortly before the Shrine Bowl.

Prochak favored South Carolina during the summer. The Gamecocks offered Prochak as a quarterback, but Prochak's final destination will likely be at safety or tight end.

Prochak had scheduled an official visit with Clemson on January 13th, but he will no longer take an official visit to Clemson.
