Clemson commitment running back Marlin Lane made his 2010 debut on Friday night. He rushed 16 times for 48 yards and one touchdown, but his Mainland team was deafeated 23-19 by Seminole.

Lane tore the ACL in his left knee last November in the first round of the playoffs and came back a few games ahead of schedule this season. The return was somewhat spoiled this week as Mainland's longtime head coach John Maronto resigned after being arrested on a charge of soliciting a prostitute earlier this month.
