(Norcross, Ga./Norcross) has planned his announcement for Aug. 18. Croom, 6-4 and 218 pounds, has narrowed things down to two SEC schools -- Tennessee and Mississippi State.
"I am just going to sit down and talk to my family about it because both schools meet the requirements I am looking for in a school," Croom said. "I am looking for a family atmosphere and coaches and people that push me in the classroom and on the field. I want to make an early impact but I know that depends on how hard I work. It's going to be tough to choose but there's no rush. I still have plenty of time."
Croom is the nation's No. 38-ranked wide receiver. He likely will make his announcement at his high school.
As a junior, he had 30 catches for 506 yards and 5 touchdowns. Has visited Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia and Florida.
Took unofficial visit to Clemson for the 2010 Miami game.
