The final three touchdowns were scored by Hopper, who returned an interception for a 44-yard score, then made a leaping 32-yard touchdown reception with 46 seconds left in the first half.

Hopper opened the second half with an electrifying 64-yard run and the Cardinals suddenly led 28-14.

After a field goal by Olympic, Hopper again took a handoff and went up the middle, but defensive tackle Jeff Taylor took the ball out of his hands and went 40 yards for a score, cutting the lead to 28-24.
