Twelve N.C. players were nominated for the combine by the All-American Bowl selection committee of coaches across the U.S. and Rivals.com, a college athletics website. Hopper had 1,359 rushing yards with 18 touchdowns on the ground as a junior, and added 39 receptions for 465 yards and five touchdowns while earning all-Mecklenburg first team and all-state honors.
