Darryl Gamble - Linebacker
Height: 6-2   Weight: 215   Hometown: Bainbridge, GA (Bainbridge HS)   Class: 2006

Darryl Gamble is a highly touted athletic linebacker prospect. Defensive coordinator Vic Koenning is recruiting Gamble for the Tigers. Gamble has been impressed with Koenning.

"He knows what he is talking about. It is nice to know that he is recruiting me with him being the defensive coordinator."

Gamble is listed as a linebacker prospect, but he could actually make the move to safety at the next level.

"If I had my choice, I would prefer to play safety. I have a little more freedom playing safety. Wherever I go, the coaches will put me in the best position. Most schools are telling me, they will look at the best spot, once I am on campus."

Clemson is in Gamble's top five along with Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

"Georgia writes me a lot, but they all are sending me letters. With my season about to start, I have kind of taken a step back. I want to make sure I am ready for my final year in high school. My coach tells me recruiting will be there."

Do in-state Bulldogs have the edge?

"There is some pressure to stay in-state, but it is not a real factor. I want to play for a school that wants me to be there. All five of the schools I am looking have made that clear, and that is why they are my top five."

We will continue to track the Georgia native throughout his senior season.
