As a junior, he had 230 carries for 1,890 yards and 22 touchdowns and 19 recs for 195 yards and a touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball, he had 32 tackles and 5 pass break ups. Part of the 2010 Class 5A State Title team. Tompkins was at the spring game at Clemson.
