2017 Offensive tackle Blake Vinson from Ocala, FL visited Clemson on Tuesday and came away impressed. Vinson immediately tweeted after the visit that he had a great trip to Clemson and could not wait to visit again.

TigerNet spoke with Vinson on Tuesday morning and he had many good things to say about Clemson and its coaching staff. Clemson offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell is the main recruiter for Vinson and he attended one of Clemson's Russell Athletic Bowl practices with a family member who played under Robbie Caldwell at Vanderbilt.

"I loved all of the coaches," Vinson said. "I got to talk to Caldwell for about 25 minutes in his office and I like him a lot." The coaching staff thinks he has the size to play offensive tackle or guard.

He also enjoyed watching Clemson's high tempo practice.

"Practice was great," he said. "The speed and tempo these teams work with is crazy."

Clemson's football facilities and surrounding areas were also extremely impressive to him.

"The facilities were crazy," Vinson said . "Everything in the football area is the nicest I've seen. They said they're building a whole new facility too. Can't wait to see that."

The Clemson coaching staff wants him to come to a camp to get evaluated by the coaching staff. He plans to visit again sometime in June.

He has early offers from in-state programs Florida Atlantic and South Florida. Other schools that are showing interest include Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. He said that he has no favorites yet because he will have to see who else offers him.

He is a good student and also has a 4.60 shuttle, 28" vertical, 310 lb bench press and a 400 pound squat. His high school football team lost in the second round of the playoffs.
