James Davis may very well be the number one running back on Clemson's board this season. After not signing a running back last year, the staff will look to sign 2-3 this year.

Davis has been down to Clemson, Tennessee, and Alabama for some time now. He softened his stance on his favorite however.

"I made Tennessee my top school right now. Well honestly, Clemson and Tennessee are even right now."

Clemson may have one huge card in its favor with Davis.

"My Mom really likes Clemson."

Clemson was the first school to offer Davis and has not backed off since. Coach Burns had just called Davis before we got in touch with him.

"Coach Burns gave me my first offer. I have been to Clemson more than anywhere else. I will be at Clemson this weekend for the Georgia Tech game. I am gonna try and bring my Mom with me."

We reported earlier in the week that Davis would be at the game, but now we can confirm his teammate Roderick Battle will be at the game with him. Battle is one of the top defensive linemen the Tigers are recruiting this year.
