Chris Culliver - Defensive Back
Height: 6-1   Weight: 190   Hometown: Garner, NC (Garner HS)   Class: 2007

Chris Culliver blew up at the Clemson Nike camp. Culliver was committed to NC State, when he first came to Clemson, but a sudden surge of interest from other schools has changed things for Culliver.

"A lot of offers have started coming in. I thought about what would be best for me, and I decided I needed to open back up and look at some other schools. NC State is still my leader, but the coaches their know I am looking around."

Last Friday, Culliver took a trip to Clemson.

"The trip to Clemson was great. The big thing I took from the trip was the coaches make you feel comfortable. I spent a lot of time with Coach Burns and Coach Rumph. They were asking me about school, and we just had a good time. I felt like we had known each other for a long time."

Culliver was able to sit down and talk to head coach Tommy Bowden.

"Coach Bowden was very honest with me. I was expecting a big sales pitch for Clemson, but he didn't do that. He told me how much they liked my athleticism, and he could see why more schools are offering. We also talked about their season, and he said I should try and come back for a game."

Clemson, Alabama, Florida, and Florida State have all offered since the Clemson Nike Camp. Culliver has gone from an early commitment to now a prospect, who may see it through to the end.

"I am going to check out some games during the season. After the season, I will take all of my official visits, and then I will make my decision."
