Jamal Medlin has earned his way through the recruiting process. He went through almost his entire senior season with no major offers. Medlin never stopped working and his hard work paid off at the Shrine Bowl.
After an impressive week of workouts, Clemson, South Carolina, NC State, Virginia, and Maryland all offered. Medlin visited Maryland last weekend for his first official visit. “It went pretty good. They gave an in-depth overview of their program. They talked about their academic support programs. I forgot who my player host was at Maryland.” Next up for Medlin is an official visit to Clemson. “I am coming to Clemson this weekend. I am excited about the trip. I talked to Coach Burns a few minutes ago. He told me he can already see me running down the Hill.” Medlin already has an idea of what he will be looking for this weekend in Clemson. “I want to get a in-depth view of their athletic facilities. I want to see the academic support, and how I fit in with the academic support people.” Is a commitment possible for Medlin this weekend? “It is a possibility. Right now, it is tie between Maryland and Clemson. I still have trips to South Carolina and NC State as well.” Clemson wants to sign one more offensive lineman, and Medlin appears to be the clear cut target. Clemson is in very good shape here heading into the weekend.
