Askew has offers from Alabama, Appalachian State, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Jacksonville State, LSU, Miami, Mississippi, Mississippi State, N.C. State, Ohio State, South Carolina, Southern Miss, Texas A&M, UCLA and Wake Forest. Alabama appears to be one of the front-runners for his recruitment.

As a sophomore, he had 50 tackles, five interceptions and eight pass deflections. On offense, he had 30 catches for 536 yards and three touchdowns and four rushes for a score. He also had two passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. He was named a CBS Sports Sophomore All-American after the season.

Most schools are recruiting him as a cornerback or safety at the college level.
