One of the nation’s top-rated defensive ends included Clemson in his top-10 schools on Monday.
4-star DE Nathan Pickering has Dabo Swinney’s Tigers in a group with Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas and Southern Cal. Since a mid-February Clemson offer, he has also picked up offers from Texas, Arkansas and Vanderbilt . Pickering posted a top-15 in early March, with Stanford, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Oregon and Tennessee not making his latest list. Pickering totaled 85 tackles including 39 tackles for a loss and five sacks last season, drawing USA TODAY first-team All-Mississippi honors. In 2016, he had 72 tackles including 26 for loss, four sacks, four pass breakups, three forced fumbles and an interception. Pickering is rated as high as the No. 4 strongside defensive end in the 2019 class and the No. 2 player in Mississippi. Top 10..... pic.twitter.com/0cKKLhYXxU
