Rising-sophomore Will Lawrence from Memphis, Tennessee has Clemson in his top group on Thursday according to his Twitter account.
The top schools listed were Arizona State, Auburn, Clemson, LSU, Missouri and Texas. Four of the six schools have Tigers as a mascot. TigerNet spoke with Lawrence back in June during his Dabo Swinney Football camp visit, and he was excited about the Clemson offer and was very impressed with Clemson. "I liked the coaches, the facilities, everything. It was a great visit." Lawrence was able to spend time with his main recruiter Robbie Caldwell. "I was with Coach Caldwell the whole time and got to meet most of the other coaches. I like coach Caldwell a lot. I call him pretty, often so I felt like I already knew him." He has offers from Akron, Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Cincinnati, Clemson, Duke, Florida Atlantic, Florida State, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Syracuse, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC, Vanderbilt, Washington State and West Virgina. The highly-coveted prospect was named second team all-district as a freshman, selected first-team freshman All-American by MaxPreps and named by Tom Lemming to the CBS Sports Network All-Freshman Team. He amazingly started all 11 games at left tackle for his varsity football team as an 8th grader.
