Three South Carolina players had double-doubles in the victory — Darryl Palmer, Brice Johnson and Travis Hammonds. Palmer had 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Johnson, a North Carolina signee, had 12 points and 13 rebounds. Hammonds added 11 points and 11 rebounds. Wilson’s Brandon Jones had seven points and five rebounds in 12 minutes of action. Mullins’ Darnell Coleman was held to just one point.
