4-star 2017 cornerback Malcolm Askew from McCalla, Alabama had Clemson in his top two schools on Sunday according to his Twitter account.
His top 10 schools in order were Auburn, Clemson, Ole Miss, TCU, Alabama, Florida, California, Oklahoma, Miami, and Oregon. "My recruiting process has had its ups and downs, from my 1st offer from Georgia after my freshman year until now," Askew tweeted. I have 54 scholarship offers. WOW! God has truly blessed me. Now, I have finished my junior year; the recruiting process speeds up for me. I'll graduate early and enroll in college next January. I would like to make my decision real soon. I have decided to narrow my list to these ten schools. They have recruited me an stayed in contact with me the most throughout the spring. These schools have shown the most love and I can see myself playing at each one of them. So, these ten will be my focus moving forward!! I thank God for all the opportunities he's given me, and I know I'm highly favored to be in this position." Askew is playing quarterback this season for McAdory, but most schools are recruiting him as a cornerback at the college level. He is a consensus 4-star 2017 recruit by all the major recruiting services. In 2015, he had 35 receptions for 1,000 yards and ten touchdowns. On defense, he had 35 tackles, eight pass breakups, and an interception. As a sophomore, he had 50 tackles, five interceptions, and eight pass deflections. On offense, he caught 30 passes for 536 yards and three touchdowns, also had four rushes for a score and two passes thrown for 71 yards and a touchdown. He was named a CBS Sports Sophomore All-American after the season. ??????????????????????????????1.??
