TigerNet spoke with Clemson 2015 commit Austin Bryant on Friday morning and he said that he is having foot surgery today and will more than likely miss the rest of the football season.
The injury is on the fifth metacarpal in his foot which usually takes six to eight weeks to heal and the rehab will effectively end his season. The 6-4, 251-pound prospect was having a monster season for Thomasville including four sacks and three forced fumbles recently against rival Monroe. The star defender wanted Clemson fans to know that this will only motivate him for his opportunity when he gets to Clemson. "This is just a little bump in the road and I will use this as motivation to put all I have in the orange and purple, " said Bryant. "Go Tigers!" As a junior, (1st year at DE) he had 64 tackles, five sacks and three forced fumbles.
