Contrary to some reports, Clemson has been a mainstay in Antonio Clay's top five for quite some time now. In our first interview with Clay, he said Clemson reminded him of the Twiggs, his current home. Clay will be on his second official visit Saturday when he comes to Clemson.

"Man, I am really excited about coming to Clemson. I can't wait to see Coach Bowden, Coach Blackwell, and Coach West. I feel like family there. I am expecting to see a win when I come there."

Clay is especially excited about his player host Leroy Hill. Normally seniors are not used as player hosts, but Hill played for the same high school coach that Clay currently plays for.

"It is going to be great to see Leroy again. I know he is going to have a great game on Saturday. He is a big time player, it will be great to watch him on Saturday."

Clay last Friday once again posted dominant numbers in 59-6 victory. He had 13 tackles, 3 TFL, and 1 FF.

"They tried to throw the ball at us a lot. My coach told me to work on getting my drops in, so I didn't rush the passer a lot. They were double teaming me on kicks, so I wasn't able to block any kicks. We won 59-6, improving our record to 7-1. We won't win the region title, because Hawkinsville is in our region and they beat us. I want a second chance against them in the playoffs."

The Tigers are competing with Miami, Oklahoma, and Georgia for Clay's services. Clay could be the big time linebacker that the Tiger's have missed on the last couple of years.
