ESPN: NR

Very early in this recruiting process we have had a chance to interview some of the nation's top players at their positions. This weekend was no different. The question on Jonathan Hannah is not can he play in any program in America, the question is what position will he play.

This year Hannah will be playing his first season at defensive end, but his potential has not gone unnoticed with a tremendous upside. Hannah has been projected by schools as a tight end, defensive end and some think interior lineman.

Hannah says, "I have received offers from Clemson, FSU, Penn St., Oklahoma, UNC, NC State, Virginia Tech, Maryland, and Tennessee. "When I went to the one day camp at Clemson, they surprised me by putting me at defensive end. I played offensive tackle last year, but I will play defensive end for my high school this season for the first time."

"I really enjoyed myself at NC State's camp and Clemson's camp. It going to be tough going through this process and narrowing down these schools."

Coach Lovett is recruiting Hannah for the Tigers. "The camp went great. I enjoyed getting to meet Coach Lovett. He is the type coach that I could see myself playing for. Also, I learned a lot from Coach West. Coach West taught me a lot that I can use in game situations."

Hannah speaks of his hunger and his desire to win a state title, but he has also set a few personal goals. "I would like to break the school record for touchdowns catches, and making the Shrine Bowl is very important to me."

This is a prospect that has the attention of nation powers like Oklahoma but don't look for him to go far from home. "Location is the biggest thing for me right now. I would love to play somewhere close to home, but ultimately I will have to go to the school that is the best fit for me."

Hannah says right now he is pretty open, but he would like to have his top five in a about a week or so. He will major in sports management, and the programs at each school will play a big factor in his decison.

The nation will watch this All-American with many schools hoping to make the final list. Hannah says he may unveil his top five on our afternoon rasio show "The Overdrive." Also we will post on TigerSource if he cuts his list then.
