Another day, another four-star recruit for the national champions. On Tuesday, Auburn landed a commitment from defensive tackle prospect Tyler Nero Tyler Nero

View Full Profile out of Escambia County (Atmore, Ala.). The 6-foot-2, 290-pounder is rated a four-star prospect by two recruiting services. He also reported scholarship offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Florida, Florida State and Georgia.

“It was a big decision that I knew I had to make,” Nero told his hometown paper, the Atmore Advance. “I sat back and thought about it for a long time. I knew I needed to do it now because what if something happened like a serious injury. I’d be stuck here in Atmore. Once I thought about it, I knew I needed to commit early … (Auburn coach Gene Chizik) was more excited than I was. I spoke to all of the defensive coaches at Auburn and they are all really excited.”

As a junior, he had 72 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 9 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.
