Winston to serve punishment in Clemson game? |
Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher called in for the Tuesday ACC media-call and
Winston's campus incident (warning - Explicit language) was asked by several reporters.
The campus incident refers to Tuesday's outburst where Winston stood on a table in the school union and yelled a few vulgar obscenities to onlookers. Fisher said about the incident yesterday: "Everything has been addressed and we're getting ready for the game." He was then asked if there would be any punishment for Winston's derogatory comments: "We're deciding. We're talking about as things go on right now." Fisher went on to say that "It was not a good decision. It was something that has to be addressed. You can't make certain statements that are derogatory or inflammatory to any person, race or gender." He also went on to say that he tries to educate his players on making good decisions. "You don't ever want any kind of instances, but we have to keep learning and educating. But we have to make better decisions, we have to make good decisions on things. And we’ll try to continue to do that. And try to educate.” Florida State hosts Clemson on Saturday at 8:00 PM EST on ABC. The team ranked lower in the AP Poll has won 2 of the last 3 meetings.
