Watson says he's watched tape of Manziel, Newton to prepare for Alabama

Clemson sophomore quarterback Deshaun Watson answered questions during Saturday's media day previewing the title matchup between #1 Clemson and #2 Alabama.

Watson was asked if he had watched tape of the 2010 matchup between Alabama vs. Texas A&M featuring former dual-threat star Johnny Manziel.

"Yeah, I watched that one," Heisman finalist Watson said at Media Day via FoxSports.com. "I watched the Cam Newton one in 2010. I watched a whole bunch of their games."

Watson thinks that he has watched roughly 20 Alabama games to prepare for the title game against the Crimson Tide on Monday night.

"I believe it," Clemson receiver Artavis Scott said about Watson's extensive tape review of Alabama. "He loves to study film; he loves to watch and see any advantage he can get."
