Watson ranked in Top 3 of ESPN's QB Rankings

ESPN analyst Brock Huard has released his Top 10 quarterback power rankings on Tuesday morning and Clemson sophomore quarterback is ranked #3 in all of college football.

Watson was 21 for 31 for 199 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions against Louisville.

"Last week's win against Louisville wasn't pretty, but that was to be expected. Watson struggled at times, but the key takeaway for me was he gutted it out and showed great resolve as the Tigers hung on," Huard said. "The good news: Watson won't face many more tenacious defenses in the ACC. The bad news: Clemson's offensive line has not been impressive, and center Ryan NortonRyan Norton

has already been ruled out for the Notre Dame game on Oct. 3."

Watson has completed 58 out of 78 passes for 641 yards with 7 touchdowns and 3 interceptions for a QB rating of 165.3 this season.

In his rookie campaign, Watson completed 67.9% of his passes for 1,466 yards (10.7 per attempt) with 14 touchdowns and only two interceptions for a tremendous quarterback rating of 188.57. He also had five scores rushing. Another superlative is that he had a nation's best 10.7 yards per pass attempt.

The rest of the power QB rankings list includes Connor Cook (#1), Trevone Boykin (#2), Cody Kessler (#4), Jared Goff (#5), Dake Prescott (#6), Chad Kelly (#7), Cardale Jones (#8T), J.T. Barrett (#8T), Jacoby Brissett (#9) and Anu Solomon (#10).
