Deshaun Watson
Deshaun Watson USA Today has released its weekly Heisman Watch on Wednesday, and Watson is ranked #8 on the list. "Watson hasn't been running much through two games, which is partially by design — the Tigers haven't needed to unleash that option against inferior competition — and perhaps partially a result of last year's knee injury," USA Today states. "As time goes on, look for Watson to become more and more comfortable acting as a true dual-threat quarterback. And when that happens, Watson's going to put up crooked numbers on a weekly basis." In his rookie campaign, Watson completed 67.9% of his passes for 1,466 yards (10.7 per attempt) with 14 touchdowns and only two interceptions for a tremendous quarterback rating of 188.57. He also had five scores rushing. Another superlative is that he had a nation's best 10.7 yards per pass attempt. The full ranked list on the Heisman Watch includes QB Trevone Boykin (#1), RB Derrick Henry (#2), RB Nick Chubb (#3), RB Ezekiel Elliott (#4), QB Cody Kessler (#5), RB Leonard Fournette (#6), RB Dalvin Cook (#7), QB Deshaun Watson (#8), QB Jared Goff (#9) and QB Paxton Lynch (#10).
