The 2016 NFL Draft just finished up on Saturday night, and draft analysts are already dissecting and studying the next crop of headliners for the 2017 NFL Draft.

Clemson junior quarterback Deshaun Watson is ranked the No. 1 prospect in the 2017 NFL Draft class according to the latest article by Sporting News.

"If Watson decides to enter the draft, he could be the top quarterback in the 2017 class," Sporting News said. "Watson finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting last year and will be a favorite to win the award this year. Entering his junior year, the 6-2, 210-pound Watson has thrown for 4,983 yards with 44 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He’s also extremely athletic and ran for additional 1,087 yards and 16 scores."

Watson completed 333 of 491 passes for 4,104 yards and 35 touchdowns and also had 207 rushes for 1105 yards and 12 scores this past season. His 5,209 yards of total offense and his 47 total touchdowns were ACC records, and his rushing total was a record for a Clemson quarterback.

His 487 yards of total offense set a record for a National Championship game, and he is the first quarterback in FBS history to have at least 4,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in a single season.

The Top 5 prospects for the top 2017 NFL Draft were Deshaun Watson, Myles Garrett, Leonard Fournette, Cam Robinson and Christian McCaffrey.
