Watson ranked #1 overall in 2017 NFL Mock Draft |
Walterfootball.com has released its
2017 NFL Mock Draft and has Clemson quarterback
Deshaun Watson as the #1 overall selection by the Chicago Bears.
"Chicago will gladly draft Deshaun Watson," the website said. "College football's version of Russell Wilson, Watson had an amazing run despite being just a mere sophomore. The sky's the limit for him. " Watson completed 333 of 491 passes for 4,104 yards and 35 touchdowns and also had 207 rushes for 1105 yards and 12 scores this season. His 5,209 yards of total offense and his 47 total touchdowns were ACC records and his rushing total was a record for a Clemson quarterback. Watson's 487 yards of total offense set a record for a National Championship game and he is the first quarterback in FBS history to have at least 4,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in a single season. Clemson wide receiver Mike Williams was also listed at #18 overall in the 2017 Mock Draft. "Mike Williams had a big year for Clemson in 2014, but played just one game last season because of a neck fracture," the website said. "He's very talented, however, so if he recovers and performs well in 2016, he'll be a mid-first-round choice, and I'm sure the Texans would be happy to have him, as they already had success with another Clemson receiver."
