Watson with second round projection in latest Mock Draft |
Sporting News released their
latest 2017 NFL Mock Draft and had Clemson wide receiver
Mike Williams projected to the Green Bay Packers at #29 overall.
However, the eye-catching part of the Mock Draft was that three quarterbacks were projected in the first round but none of them were named Deshaun Watson as the former Clemson star was projected to the Cleveland Browns in the second round (#33 overall). In 2016, Watson completed 388 passes out of 579 attempts for 4593 yards and 41 passing touchdowns with 17 interceptions for an adjusted QBR of 84.9. The three quarterbacks listed before Watson in the projections were Mitch Trubisky (#3 overall), DeShone Kizer (#10 overall), and Patrick Mahomes (#13 overall).
