CLEMSON - Two errors led to two runs, and the Tigers left 10 men on base as No. 4 South Carolina escaped Doug Kingsmore Stadium with a 2-0 victory over No. 12 Clemson in the opener of the Reedy River Rivalry. Game two of the series is Saturday at Fluor Field in Greenville, and game three will be held Sunday afternoon at Founders Park in Columbia.

South Carolina improves to 7-3 with the win, while Clemson falls to 6-3.
