WATCH: Lawson throws out 1st pitch at Clemson-SC game

Shaq Lawson is a former Clemson standout defensive end and was asked to throw out the first pitch for Friday night's Clemson vs. South Carolina game.

However, those god-given pass-rushing skills appear to not have translated into the game of baseball. Check out this following video as the fans in attendance are heard with a collective groan as the pitch doesn't make it to the plate.

Regardless of the outcome, it was great that Lawson was back in town for the Clemson faithful. Congrats to him for having a first successful year in the NFL.

He tweeted about his excitement before the throw.

"Excited to throw the first pitch at the Clemson game tomorrow," Lawson posted. Thanks to coach Monte Lee for the opportunity to show case my skills."

Lawson is expected to start for the Buffalo Bills at defensive end in 2017. In his rookie season in limited action, he had 13 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble.
