WATCH: Clemson Hype Video - The New WRU

by - Assoc. Editor -

The official Clemson Athletics Youtube Channel posted an interesting video showing the NFL stats and videos of former Clemson wide receivers and calling Clemson - "The New WRU".

Clemson appears to be the new WRU replacing the Tennessee Volunteers which have had 10 wide receivers drafted in the 80’s and one receiver drafted each year in the 90's besides 1993. Only Cordarrelle Patterson and Robert Meachem have been drafted from Tennessee since 2007.

However, Clemson's NFL current wide receiver roster includes Sammy Watkins, Jacoby Ford, Jaron Brown, Martavis Bryant and Nuk Hopkins. They totaled 194 catches, 2,970 yds, 23 TD's last season.

Clemson wide receivers Artavis Scott, Mike Williams, Germone Hopper and Charone Peake are all possible NFL prospects.

Bluechip wide receiver commits Deon Cain and Ray Ray McCloud III are also headed to Tiger Town.
