Venables said that Edmond has shown that he can play this year, but there are four seasoned players ahead of him on the depth chart. "He could probably get out there and play, but would he better than those four? Probably not right now," Venables told TigerNet. "But he has a bright future, and he is going to be a very good player. But in fairness to both he and the team, it would be ideal if he were to redshirt and get stronger and improve."
