Updated NCAA Tournament Projection for Clemson |
Clemson was projected on Monday morning as one of the last 'five schools in' according to analysts at D1Baseball.com.
The other four schools that are included to barely make the tournament include Bradley, Tulane, South Florida and North Florida. D1Baseball.com projects that the Tigers make the NCAA tournament with a #3 seed and will travel to the Fullerton Regional against California. The other seeds in the region are Cal State Fullerton (#1 seed) and Columbia (#4 seed). Last five schools that are projected to miss the tournament are Oregon, North Carolina, Michigan State, Nevada, and Southern Mississippi. In other projections, Clemson is actually the first team out according to Baseball America. Clemson ended the ACC tournament with a 32-27 record and with a RPI in the mid-fifties. The Tigers will learn their post-season fate on the NCAA Baseball Tournament Selection Show that airs Monday at noon on ESPNU. If Clemson makes the tournament, TigerNet will have interviews with Leggett and players this afternoon.
