has signed a minor-league deal with the Chicago White Sox and will join their Triple-A Charlotte affiliate according to multiple reports.

Colvin opted out of a minor league deal with the Marlins back in April after failing to make the major league roster out of spring training.

He hit .223 in 139 at-bats with two homeruns in 57 games for the Giants in 2014. His best year came in 2012 with the Rockies where he hit .290 with 18 homeruns, 27 doubles, 10 triples and 72 runs in 136 games. For his career, he has a .239 average with 49 home runs and 178 RBI's. He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs with the 13th overall pick in the 2006 MLB Draft.

In 2006 with Clemson, Colvin batted .356 with 13 home runs, 70 RBI's and 23 stolen bases.
