Two Tigers projected in Top 18 picks of NFL Mock Draft |
NFL.com released their
2017 NFL Mock Draft 2.0 and two Clemson offensive players are projected in the first round.
Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson was projected #10 overall to the Buffalo Bills. "Watson's draft stock is all over the place in NFL circles," NFL.com said. "The Bills could make Tyrod Taylor a cap casualty, saving them money and opening the door for Watson." In 2016, Watson completed 388 passes out of 579 attempts for 4593 yards and 41 passing touchdowns with 17 interceptions (and his degree) for an adjusted QBR of 84.9.
Clemson wide receiver Mike Williams was projected #18 overall to the Tennessee Titans.
"The Titans have taken their shots in the past but haven't been able to nail down a WR1 in the draft," NFL.com said. "Williams gives them a pretty good shot for success."
In 2016, Williams had 98 receptions for 1361 yards and 11 touchdowns. He had 177 catches for 2727 yards and 21 touchdowns (and his degree) during his impressive collegiate career at Clemson.
The NFL Scouting Combine will get underway on Feb. 28 through March 6.
