Two Tigers included in Athlon's Pre-Spring Top 15 Players for 2015

Athlon Sports released its latest article which ranks the ACC's Pre-Spring Top 15 Players for 2015 and has two Clemson football players on the list.

Clemson signal-caller Deshaun Watson was rated only #6 on the list.

"Watson could be the No. 1 player on this list by the end of the 2015 season. He’s recovering from ACL surgery, but the sophomore lived up to his recruiting hype by throwing for 1,466 yards and 14 touchdowns in limited action last year," Athlon Sports writes.

Clemson's star defensive back Mackensie Alexander made the list at #15 overall.

"It’s a little bit of a projection to put Alexander here, but he’s poised for a breakout year after starting all 13 games last season. According to Clemson’s game notes, Alexander ranks first in school history in snaps by a freshman," Athlon Sports writes.

The ACC players ahead of quarterback Deshaun Watson were Pittsburgh running back James Conner, Florida State safety Jalen Ramsey, Virginia Tech cornerback Kendall Fuller, Pittsburgh wide receiver Tyler Boyd and Florida State running back Dalvin Cook.

No ACC quarterbacks were ranked in the Top 5 but two offensive players were included from Pittsburgh. Yikes.

The Clemson wide receiver duo of Artavis Scott and Mike Williams were un-ranked by the publication but were included as six names to watch in practice.
