has officially signed his rookie contract on Monday according to team officials.

Spotrac.com that specializes in contracts report that Steward signed a four-year deal for $2,403,820 million with a signing bonus of $123,830 and an average salary of $600,958.

“It feels awesome,” Steward said of his signing to the team's website. “Earlier I actually forgot about signing the contract. I was just out there playing football, but it feels good to make it official and put it on paper and it’s awesome to be part of this organization.”

“Yeah it’s shocking that I’m an NFL player right now,” Steward said. “I’m encouraged that they drafted me just being here.”

Steward was drafted in the 6th round (#188 overall) by the Buffalo Bills in the 2015 NFL Draft. It was the first of two sixth round picks by the Bills.

He had 141 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and 14 quarterback pressures at Clemson. He battled back from two ACL injuries to become a solid Clemson contributor and now a NFL player.

The two-time Clemson captain helped the 2014 Tigers lead the nation in total defense, pass efficiency defense, fewest first downs allowed, tackles for loss, tackles for loss yardage, sack yardage, third down defense, fewest yards for pass attempt, fewest yards for play allowed and fewest plays 10+ yards allowed.

The only Bills' draft pick that has yet to sign is former Florida State defensive back Ronald Darby.
