Clemson’s possible starter at right tackle, Gifford Timothy, was back on the practice field, but on crutches, one day after being carted off the field with a knee injury. A MRI has been performed on his left knee, but the results will not be known until later Thursday evening.

At this time the best guess is a meniscus tear. A small meniscus tear could be treated with just rehab, but a larger one would require surgery. If surgery is required the severity of the tear would determine how many games Timothy would miss if any at all.

Clemson was forced to move practice indoors again on Thursday with storms in the Clemson area.
