Swinney updates injury status of Jalen Williams

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson linebacker Jalen Williams was injured early in the first quarter against Georgia Tech on Thursday night. Williams was seen on the sidelines using crutches with ice on his right knee in the second quarter.

Swinney said on Sunday night during his media teleconference that Williams suffered a sprained MCL injury [with no ACL injury] according to the MRI and he'll be back this season.

"A few weeks [Williams being out], I'll probably know more tomorrow," Swinney said.

For the season, Williams has 11 tackles and an interception.

Swinney was asked about Clemson sophomore defensive end Austin Bryant's availability for Louisville and Swinney would not give any hints on his injury status.
