Swinney on Watson's injury

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said during his post-game press conference that Deshaun Watson's injury is to his knee and they will wait on MRI results. He would not confirm a torn ACL injury.

Swinney said,"It's his knee. We got to go do a MRI and try to get some confirmation. Unbelievable, a lot of misforturne this year and we really loved the rhythm that we had and the momentum we had. It was a tough loss for us."

He went on to say there is no excuses for his football team. "Obviously, we had some tough injuries and I wish I could say why things happen this and that but that's life and that's football, " Swinney said. "We make no excuses. We are responsible for how we play."

For the game, Watson was 5-of-7 passing for 27 yards and forty yards on seven carries.
