. Swinney did not hesitate with his praise on Boyd.

"He is going to be a great pro," said Swinney said in the interview. "I know this is the time of the year where everyone wants to undress people and be critical and all that. But I don't need anybody to tell me what kind of player Tajh Boyd is. He is the greatest quarterback in the history of this school. He's the winningest quarterback ever. The guy is a winner. He has got a tremendous, tremendous gift with his ability to throw the football... great arm strength, great ability to throw the ball anywhere on the field. He throws a beautiful deep ball. had such great careers here the last three years is cause of Tajh Boyd. There is no question about it."

Swinney said that he thought Boyd has the ability to be a franchise changing signal caller like he was at Clemson.

"Whoever gets him," Swinney said. "He is going to change their franchise just like he changed Clemson. That young man changed Clemson. We have won more games in the last three years than anytime in the history of the school - back to back eleven win seasons. That's the first time that has ever happened. Tajh Boyd has been our leader. Not just the quarterback. He's been the leader of this team."

Swinney compared him to another quarterback that received some criticism before the NFL draft but went on to have success in the NFL.

"I describe him as a bigger Russell Wilson. Everyone knocked Russell coming out. 'Well you better go play baseball. You are not this and not that.' He's a third round draft pick, and now he is a Super Bowl champion. It is the same thing with Tajh Boyd. I think Tajh Boyd is going to be a great NFL quarterback. His skill plus his intangibles that he brings are special. And he is still developing. It's all still out in front of Tajh Boyd."
