Spurrier promises to stop trolling Clemson fans...for a couple weeks |
South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier talked about Clemson at his post-game press conference last Saturday moments after his team's dramatic overtime 23-20 victory over Florida.
Here were the remarks: "I guess the upstate team got beat today, is that correct?" Spurrier said. "What was that score of the Georgia Tech game. (Watson) got hurt again? ...That game, looks like we're in better shape than two weeks ago, right?" courtesy: GoGamecocks.com Fast forward to Tuesday's press conference and here is what Spurrier had to say about Clemson and the backlash he received from fans. "I occasionally refer to them (Clemson) as the Upstate team. I don't think that is negative, is it?," Spurrier asked. "They're interpreting too much...I'll try not to say anything to upset them through the next couple of weeks anyway," Spurrier said. The two teams will face-off in the yearly rivalry game on Nov 29 in Death Valley.
