Sammy Watkins wins district 100m and 200m, will run track at Clemson

According to the Naples News on the Class 2A-District 11 track meet:

View Full Profile , dominated on the boys side, outscoring second-place Immokalee 151 to 95.

Watkins won both the 100- and 200-meters. The senior, who will play wide receiver in college, was also part of the Wolfpack’s victorious 4x100- and 4x400-meter relay teams.

“I have a legitimate shot in the 100 and 200 at states,” said Watkins, who placed fourth and fifth in those events last year at state. “If I keep practicing hard and stay healthy, I can win both.”

Watkins said he will also run track for Clemson.
