Sammy Watkins not cleared to practice |
Former Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins is still on the sidelines with his injured left foot as he was eligible to return to practice on Monday but the Bills training staff is not ready to clear him.
"Sammy feels fantastic but we're gonna be smart with this and we'll do what's best for him, obviously," Ryan said via NFL.com. "Until all our medical people are on board with him coming back out there on the field, then we're not gonna practice him. But when that time occurs and hopefully that will occur soon, then he'll be back out there." Watkins will be eligible to play in a regular season game on Nov. 27 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has played in only two games with six catches for 63 yards this season. He had 44 receptions for 827 yards and nine touchdowns last season. For his career, he has 125 catches for 2,029 yards and fifteen scores.
