Running down the Hill ranked #1 entrance in CFB

by - Assoc. Editor -

The USA TODAY College Football Fan Index has voted Clemson's running down the hill as the best entrance in college football.

“You’re up on that hill looking over the sea of people and I’m telling you it gets your blood flowing, man,” [Don] Munson said. “It’s crazy. I’ve had players describe it as [feeling like] gladiators. They look upon themselves as kind of walking into that Roman Coliseum.

“The guy that’s in the booth with me, Rodney Williams, he was a great player at Clemson in the ’80s. I can tell the effect that it has on him. It still is an emotional thing. I’ve seen ex-players cry at this thing. Literally, just weep. They know what it’s all about.”

Second on the list was Virgina Tech's Enter Sandman Field entrance.
