Report: Shaq Lawson could miss half of the season or more

by - Assoc. Editor -

ESPN's Louis Riddick said on WGR 550 Buffalo that he has heard that Bills first-rounder and former Tiger Shaq Lawson "could miss at least half the season and maybe the whole season."

The Bills drafted Lawson knowing that surgery was possible, but he aggravated his injury during a drill and had surgery in May. He was expected to miss 5-6 months which would have been the first month of the season but not half the season or the whole season.

Lawson responded on Twitter and said “can’t believe what everybody say about you.” The tweet has since been deleted.

Last season, Lawson had 86 tackles, 25.5 tackles for loss (led the nation), 12.5 sacks and 15 quarterback hurries.
