Report: Sammy Watkins might need 2nd surgery on foot

by - Assoc. Editor -

Former Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins will fly to Charlotte, North Carolina this week to get a second opinion on his foot with Dr. Robert Anderson according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

According to Schefter, the doctor might recommend a second surgery on his surgically-repaired left foot and that would end his season.

Watkins played in only two games with six catches for 63 yards this season as he is currently on the team's IR list [out at least 8 weeks].

He had 44 receptions for 827 yards and nine touchdowns last season. For his career, he has 125 catches for 2,029 yards and fifteen scores.
