Report: Lawson's shoulder flagged at NFL combine |
Clemson defensive end
Shaq Lawson's shoulder was flagged at the NFL combine during his physical and is on the list to return to Indianapolis for a medical re-check in April according to multiple reports.
Lawson finished this past season with 86 tackles, 25.5 tackles for loss (first in the nation), 12.5 sacks and 15 quarterback hurries. "My shoulder is fine and I am ready to play football," Lawson told ESPN's Joe Schad on Thursday afternoon. His shoulder held up well at Clemson as he did not miss a game (41 games) in three years. However, NFL teams want to do their due diligence examining all injuries before investing millions of dollars. The latest NFL.com mock draft this week had Lawson projected to the Miami Dolphins at the #13th selection of the first round. Per sources, Clemson DE Shaq Lawson's shoulder was flagged at the combine, and he's on the list to go back to Indy for the medical recheck.
