Report: Clemson Basketball to play series against SEC team

CBSSports.com is reporting that Clemson and Alabama have agreed to play a home and home series in basketball.

The Tigers will host Alabama this season at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena and will visit Tuscaloosa in 2016-2017 according to the report.

Clemson was able to defeat 3 SEC West teams last year - LSU (64-61), Arkasas (68-65 OT) and Auburn (72-61).

Alabama finished the 2014 season going 19-15 (8-10 in the SEC) and won 79-58 against Illinois in the first round of the NIT but lost to Miami 73-66 in the second round to close out their season.

Former NBA coach Avery Johnson is the new Crimson Tide basketball coach.
