Report: Alexander to sit out NFL Combine drills

by - Assoc. Editor -

Former Clemson defensive back Mackensie Alexander will skip the NFL Combine on-the-field drills until Clemson's Pro Day on March 11 according to Rand Getlin from NFL Network.

Alexander will continue to rehab from his hamstring injury that he suffered in the second quarter of the National Championship game against Alabama.

The Tigers with Alexander were the number two defense in the country this past season in passes completed holding opponents to 47.6 completion percentage. In 638 snaps last season, QBs completed only 11 passes vs. Alexander with zero touchdowns while he racked up 23 tackles and two tackles for loss.
